Capital Comedy in Olympia

The third night of Semifinals brought us to the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, which wins and award for longest name in the Competition to describe a theater. It nudges out the Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, because they forgot to add “Performing” to their name. Since it was added to the tour, it has been a great place to perform because the audience is always great and that’s what matters in the end.

The audience didn’t always agree with the judges, but everyone agreed that Nancy Norton had a terrific set.

The Top Five

1. Nancy Norton, Denver
2. Andrew Rivers, Seattle
3. James Hancock III, San Diego
4. Andrew Frank, Seattle
5. Donald Alexander, Edinburgh – tie
5. Andrew Packer, Vancouver – tie

Friday night we stay in the Southwest part of Washington for a night at the Columbia Theater in Longview.
