The Semifinals of the 45th Seattle International Comedy Competition visit the Columbia Theatre.
This show features the Top Ten comedians of the comedy competition. Each will have up to 10 minutes to perform and convince the judges and the audience that they are worthy of first place. The audience holds tremendous power over the outcome of the show; the harder you laugh, the higher they score through the encore point.
Comedians are competing for just five chances to advance to the Finals. One of the comics onstage will eventually win it all and become our new champion.
About the Competition
This event truly is the “Last Comic Standing”. The Competition attracts comedians from across North America and beyond. This event is one of the most prestigious comedy events in North America, launching the careers of people like Mitch Hedberg, Gabrielle Rutledge and Joey Diaz. It is an outrageously funny evening, where you will see the comedy stars of tomorrow competing for their chance at fame and fortune. Hundreds of comedians audition each year to compete, but only 32 comedians are chosen.

The Columbia Theatre is a beautiful, historic performing arts venue providing the best live theatre and arts education. Built in 1925 with ornate decor and 800 seats, so there’s no excuse that tickets were not available. It’s going to be a great show.
