The WAC was Packed

The first night of the Finals typically brings us to the Washington Athletic Club. It’s a private show and I would love to tell you how much you can’t know because if you really wanted to know, you’d become a member, but since it’s not Costco, membership is limited, so here’s the details.

The Crystal Room doesn’t get very dark, so some of the laughs needed to be pulled out of the crowd. They might have been self conscious about their friends and fellow WAC members seeing what they were laughing at, but once you pull started the crowd, the laughs kept coming and afterwards they mentioned how grateful they were to see such a great show.

Before we get into the results, I just wanted to say Auggie Smith is a national treasure. He’s always funny and worth it just to watch him work a room.

The Top Five

  1. James Hancock III, San Diego
  2. Nancy Norton, Denver
  3. Adam Pasi, Portland
  4. Andrew Rivers, Seattle
  5. Andrew Packer, Vancouver

But wait, there’s more!

The WAC has a unique People’s Choice award. Nancy Norton earned the honor, narrowly defeating Portland’s Adam Pasi.  Nancy was given an official certificate signifying her as the WAC Choice Award winner for this year and a bottle of WAC Wine–a delightful pinot gris from the Columbia Valley. You’d hope it would be a favor you could ask the Governor to do that would not be refused or something befitting the atmosphere.
