In addition to five of the funniest comics emerging in North America, we also have a specially curated set of comedic short films from this years 9th Annual SketchFest Seattle Film Challenge.
SketchFest Seattle is the world’s original sketch comedy festival and has established a reputation for presenting the best and most original comedy from around the globe. Our mission is to promote sketch comedy as a performing art by providing a venue for groups to network and showcase.
Your Host: Solomon Georgio
Solomon Georgio got his start at the Comedy Underground. He burst out of the Seattle comedy scene with his own brand of indignant irreverence.
Solomon flawlessly intertwines biting social commentary with stories of his life as an openly gay African immigrant. He is a finalist of NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity, a regular performer at the Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival (Seattle, WA) and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival (Portland, OR).
Solomon recently had his television debut in February 2015 as the featured comedian on CONAN, and immediately followed it up with an appearance on Last Call with Carson Daily. He will also be the host of several episodes of the upcoming Lance Bang project for Vice, Flophouse.
As an actor, Solomon will soon be appearing on the upcoming IFC web series “Ball or Nothing”, the Comedy Central web series “White Flight”, and TruTV’s “Adam Ruins Everything”.
