The Semifinals of the 44th Seattle International Comedy Competition visit the Columbia Theatre. The top 10 comedians out of the Preliminaries compete to advance for a chance to the Finals. Only five advance, the rest go home.
This event truly is the “Last Comic Standing”. The Competition attracts comedians from across North America and beyond. This event is one of the most prestigious comedy events in North America, launching the careers of people like Mitch Hedberg. It’s an outrageously funny evening, where you will see the comedy stars of tomorrow competing for their chance at fame and fortune. Hundreds of comedians audition each year to compete. Only 32 are chosen.
The Columbia Theatre is a beautiful, historic performing arts venue providing the best live theatre and arts education. Built in 1925 with ornate decor and 800 seats, so there’s no excuse that tickets were not available. It’s going to be a great show.
