Night one of the Semi-Finals of the 36th Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition starts at another favorite, the Edmonds Center for the Arts.

Duane Goad is a Canadian born, Seattle based comedian who has entertained audiences all over the U.S. and Canada.
He has appeared at numerous festivals including Funny or Die’s Oddball Comedy Festival, The Las Vegas Comedy Festival, The Bumbershoot Arts Festival and The Vancouver Comedy Festival. As an opening act, Duane has shared the stage with some of the top comics in the business including Jim Gaffigan, Bill Burr, Flight of the Conchords and Lewis Black. Duane also had a childhood dream come true when he was selected to open for music superstars The Jacksons on their ‘Unity Tour’.
As an actor, Duane has been seen and heard in a number of commercials including The FX Network, Gillette Razors, Ford and Microsoft. He co-starred in the independent comedy ‘Hello. My Name is Dick Licker’ and the short film ’80s Ending’ seen on the Comedy Central series ‘Atom Films Presents…’ Northwest television audiences may recognize Duane from his appearances on the wildly popular Seattle-based sketch comedy show ‘The 206’.
