Unexpected Productions: Seattle

The Seattle International Comedy Competition returns to Unexpected Productions for the second week of Preliminaries. The show features 16 comedians from around North America competing for just five chances to advance to the Semifinals. The rest go home.
Since Unexpected Productions hosts both weeks of the Preliminaries, it gives you a chance to see the best in emerging comedy talent.

About the Competition
This event truly is the “Last Comic Standing”. The Competition attracts comedians from across North America and beyond. This event is one of the most prestigious comedy events in North America, launching the careers of people like Mitch Hedberg. It is an outrageously funny evening, where you will see the comedy stars of tomorrow competing for their chance at fame and fortune. Hundreds of comedians audition each year to compete, but only 32 comedians are chosen.
About Unexpected Productions
Since 1983, they have been dedicated to promoting the art and spirit of improvisation. Their show, Theatresports has been running for over 30 years. Tonight will be a decidedly non-improv Standup comedy night with a new group of comedians battling to advance to the Semi-Finals. Only five will advance. Unexpected Productions and The Market Theater are located downtown in Pike Place Market, in the heart of Seattle’s Tourist District.
