We have a Winner!

The final show of the 40th Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition took place in front of a sold-out crowd at Comedy Underground.

All five competitors had solid sets for this final performance. On this night, any comic could have won, but the judges liked one comic slightly more.

The Top Five

  1. Nancy Norton, Denver
  2. Adam Pasi, Portland
  3. Andrew Packer, Vancouver
  4. Andrew Rivers, Seattle
  5. James Hancock III, San Diego

Going into this night, Nancy Norton trailed James Hancock III by 0.12 of a point.  By the virtue of Nancy winning this last night, she claimed the crown–becoming on the second woman to ever win the Seattle International Comedy Competition, joining only the late Peggy Platt who won in 1985.

It was an incredible month of shows. Producer Jon Fox claims that it was one of the best competitions ever staged.
