Sonya Vai – New York

Comedian, Actor & Writer Sonya Vai was born and raised in New York City but is constantly asked “where are you really from?” by drunk men in bars.

Sonya recently performed in the New York Comedy Festival where she co-produced “Facial Recognition Comedy”, a show dedicated to showcasing female-identifying South Asian comedians.

The show was featured in the New York Times as one of the 5 shows they were most excited to see at the Festival.
