Three shows into the Finals of the 39th Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition and three straight times Nashua New Hampshire’s Drew Dunn has been the top scoring performer. Drew has won twice on his own and tied with Spokane’s Phillip Kopczynski.
It’s been a remarkable run, but Drew is not running away with the show. All five of our finalists are delivering incredible performances and getting strong scores as well.
Last night we had Portland’s Nathan Brannan as our emcee and a sold-out crowd. Landry did his best to duplicate what Drew had done on Vashon Island, which is take the top spot for the night while going up first, which is a difficult thing to do. From the roar of approval from the crowd, it seemed like he would pull it off, but managed to finish second.
Each of our five comedians went out and crushed it making the Finals anyone’s game. Once again, no one crushed it harder than Drew Dunn.
There are two shows left and anything can happen.
