Brent Lowrey was crowned the winner of the 43rd Seattle International Comedy Competition. In the final week, he really turned on the energy. It was more than having a good set, they all had outstanding sets every night. But in the end, only one person gets to be champ.

Brent is our 43rd SICC Champion. He’s a powerhouse joke teller who doesn’t break a sweat doing it. Many an audience member and judge commented on just how comfortable Brent is doing stand up comedy. Fully in the moment, himself, and prepared. He shows up with clever, insightful, surprising comedy full of character and nuance that audiences can’t help but get on board with.
Some of the strengths that really made Brent stand out is that it didn’t matter how many times he told a joke, it always seemed spontaneous and fresh, like he just wrote it that day. He was able to adapt his material to fit the audience. That really helped him stand out over the other comedians over the last month of competition.
We would like to thank every comc that participated, every venue that went out of their way to make this event outstanding. We want to thank the friends and family who were involved in any way. We couldn’t have done it without you.
