Now that the tryptophan’s worn off, we can finally update this site. Whew. Did a little calculation Wednesday night, and it turns out we’ve been bringing this show to the Vashon Theatre for 13 year! When Eileen and Gordon Wolcott bought the islands’ only movie house, they immediately decided to add a stage so they could have live events. It wasn’t more than a couple of months later that producer Ron Reid, always in search of new venues, approached them with the SICC. They said yes, and the rest is a history of sold-out shows. And at least one Thanksgiving storm power failure.
Anyway, the 350-seat theater was packed to the walls with appreciative Vashonites, and rocked off its foundation for 2+ hours. The results?
