The Competition attracts comedians from across North America and beyond. This event is one of the most prestigious comedy events in North America\, launching the careers of people like Mitch Hedberg. It is an outrageously funny evening\, where you will see the comedy stars of tomorrow competing for their chance at fame and fortune. Hundreds of comedians audition each year to compete\, but only 32 comedians are chosen. \n\n\n\nAbout Unexpected Productions\n\n\n\nSince 1983\, they have been dedicated to promoting the art and spirit of improvisation. Their show\, Theatresports has been running for over 30 years. Tonight will be a decidedly non-improv Standup comedy night with a new group of comedians battling to advance to the Semi-Finals. Only five will advance.
