DESCRIPTION:Preliminary Week Two kicks off at McMenamins Spanish Ballroom in Tacoma. 16 comedians battle for the night’s highest score and an opportunity for a shot at cash and prizes. The pressure is on as the comedians take the stage with only five advancing to the Semifinals. Birungi Birungi hosts the evening. \n\nThis event truly is the “Last Comic Standing”. The Compeition attracts comedians from across North America and beyond. This event is one of the most prestigious comedy events in North America\, launching the careers of people like Mitch Hedberg. It’s an outrageously funny evening\, where you will see the comedy stars of tomorrow competing for their chance at fame and fortune. Hundreds of comedians audition each year to compete. Within five years of performing\, he has hit stages in multiple cities including Olympia\, Bellingham\, Portland\, Denver\, Boston\, Phoenix\, San Diego and Los Angeles.\n\nHe has been featured on the “Best of the Fest” list at the Burbank Comedy Festival. Birungi also had the privilege of opening for DL Hughley (Original Kings of Comedy)\, an experience he describes the highlight of his comedy career.\n\nSince then\, he has performed for hundreds of people across America. Most recently\, he was a chosen in the top 101 comedians at the World Series of Comedy.
