The Seattle International Comedy Competition makes a stop in Olympia at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, which hosts a wide variety of live performances are presented seasonally in a big arts center with vaudeville roots, like standup comedy.
The master of ceremonies for tonight’s show is Seattle native Rod Long, a former winner of the Seattle International Comedy Competition and one of the funniest people we know.
Rod Long usually works exclusively for Norwegian Cruise Lines, so it’s a rare treat to see him in Seattle. Long has shared the stage with Anita Baker, Smokey Robinson, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, and The Temptations to name a few.
