November 21 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Washington Center for the Performing Arts

The Seattle International Comedy Competition makes a stop in Olympia at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts. The top 10 comedians out of the Preliminaries compete to advance for a chance to the Finals. Only five advance, the rest go home. Judges score the comedians and the audience adds one crucial role, the better response, the higher the score.

This event truly is the “Last Comic Standing”. The Competition attracts comedians from across North America and beyond. This event is one of the most prestigious comedy events in North America, launching the careers of people like Mitch Hedberg. It’s an outrageously funny evening, where you will see the comedy stars of tomorrow competing for their chance at fame and fortune. Hundreds of comedians audition each year to compete. Only 32 are chosen.

Washington Center hosts a wide variety of live performances are presented seasonally in a big arts center with vaudeville roots, like standup comedy.
