The Crystal Ballroom at the Washington Athletic Club transforms into a comedy club for the first night of the 44th Seattle International Comedy Competition Finals.
The top five comedians battle for the night’s highest score and an opportunity for a shot at cash and prizes. The pressure is on as the comedians take the stage for 20-minute sets of their best material. Join for just the show, or feast on WAC Executive Chef Eric Floyd’s Asian fusion buffet. Includes comedy show, dinner buffet with dessert, and validated parking in the WAC Garage.
This event truly is the “Last Comic Standing”. The Compeition attracts comedians from across North America and beyond. This event is one of the most prestigious comedy events in North America, launching the careers of people like Mitch Hedberg. It’s an outrageously funny evening, where you will see the comedy stars of tomorrow competing for their chance at fame and fortune. Hundreds of comedians audition each year to compete. Only 32 are chosen. You must be a member or a guest of the WAC to attend this show. So become a member. The show is incredible and you can work off some of that turkey heading into the Holidays.
The top five comics of the Competition for the Finals will be announced at the end of the Semifinals.
Christina Walkinshaw hosts the Finals. She’s a former Finalist in her own right. She is a Canadian stand up comic now living in New York. Her half hour comedy special often repeats in the middle of the night while you’re sleeping. You’ve seen her on Just For Laughs, The Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and she’s done multiple tours for the troops overseas. She’s been on CBC’s “The Debaters,” and she also makes (sporadic) appearances in the shower.
