Night three brings us to North Bend for the a night of preliminaries. 16 comics compete for just five chances to advance to the Semifinals. The rest go home.

This event truly is the “Last Comic Standing”. The Compeition attracts comedians from across North America and beyond. This event is one of the most prestigious comedy events in North America, launching the careers of people like Mitch Hedberg. It’s an outrageously funny evening, where you will see the comedy stars of tomorrow competing for their chance at fame and fortune. Hundreds of comedians audition each year to compete. Judges, including entertainment industry professionals and media personalities, score the performances along with audience reactions to determine the winners.

The historic North Bend Theatre is a renovated movie house equipped for 4K digital video projection. Independent circa-1941 movie house with art deco look offering first run movies and special programs.

Your Host: Birungi Birungi

Birungi is a Ugandan comedian based out of San Diego, California. Although he initially moved to America for college, he quickly found a different way to fall into debt – stand up comedy! Within five years of performing, he has hit stages in multiple cities including Olympia, Bellingham, Portland, Denver, Boston, Phoenix, San Diego and Los Angeles. He has been featured on the “Best of the Fest” list at the Burbank Comedy Festival. Birungi also had the privilege of opening for DL Hughley (Original Kings of Comedy), an experience he describes the highlight of his comedy career. Since then, he has performed for hundreds of people across America. Most recently, he was a chosen in the top 101 comedians at the World Series of Comedy. You can find him performing in and outside major cities throughout the year.
