We kick off the Semifinals of the Seattle International Comedy Competition at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. We’ve taken the top 10 comedians out of the Preliminaries and allow them to compete to advance for a chance to the Finals. Only five advance, the rest go home.
This event truly is the “Last Comic Standing”. The Competition attracts comedians from across North America and beyond. This event is one of the most prestigious comedy events in North America, launching the careers of people like Mitch Hedberg. It’s an outrageously funny evening, where you will see the comedy stars of tomorrow competing for their chance at fame and fortune. Hundreds of comedians audition each year to compete. Only 32 are chosen.
The Edmonds Center for the Arts presents an array of outstanding performing artists from around the world, provides space, production management, and technical expertise for a variety of community partners and rental clients, and serves more than 65,000 patrons who enjoy the facility annually.
The top ten comics competing in the Semifinals will be announced at the end of the show at Bainbridge Performing Arts.
